I recently returned from volunteering at our church’s youth summer camp. Summer camp in July is always hot, but this had to be one for the record books. I’ll post a few photos soon to show that, but I’d thought I’d share this view, right outside our cabin. This swampy area of  Camp Tejas, near Giddings, Texas, fed into a very pretty lake. Our end was where all the turtles and frogs hung out. I guess that makes me a swamp critter of sorts.

Because of the dust, heat and not a lot of time to take photos, I only carried my iPhone and used an app called HDR Pro to work with. It’s a great app, if you can hold the camera still long enough, as it takes two photos, then merges them together in the camera. Cool.
