The Musée d’Orsay is a museum in Paris, France, on the left bank of the Seine. It is housed in the former Gare d’Orsay, an impressive railway station opened in 1900. The museum holds mainly French art dating from 1848 to 1915, and is has the largest collections in the world of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces.

There is a large clock inside in the main gallery, plus two on the side of the roof, overlooking the Seine, this view being from one of those. It had been raining extremely hard when we left the hotel to take the subway to the museum and I didn’t wish to get my camera gear soaked. Since I had my iPhone, I went lightweight for our last evening in Europe.
